These terms cover the Lubb iOS app and thelubb.com. By using either, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use them.
what Lubb is
Lubb plays a simulated heartbeat through your iPhone's Taptic Engine, with an optional sound. It is made for comfort and company, and nothing more.
Lubb is not a medical device
Lubb does not diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any condition. It is not a sleep tracker, it does not measure your heartbeat, and it makes no claim about your health. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice. If you are worried about your sleep, speak to a doctor.
using it safely
Never charge your phone under a pillow or under bedding. A charging phone builds heat, and heat trapped in bedding is a fire risk. Charge before bed, then unplug for the night. Where you put your phone is your responsibility.
the free tier and Lubb Plus
Ten-minute sessions are free, as many as you like, with no account and no expiry. Lubb Plus unlocks 30-minute, 2-hour, and all-night sessions.
Plus is sold either as a yearly subscription at $9.99 with the first 7 nights free, or as a one-time purchase at $29.99 that does not expire. Prices vary by region and may change. There is no monthly plan.
All purchases are made through Apple. If you subscribe, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase before it ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.
licence
Lubb is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of the app is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except where the law says you may.
no warranty
Lubb is provided as it is. Whether it helps you sleep depends on you, your pillow, and your night, and we don't promise it will work for you. We don't promise the app or this site will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults.
limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Lubb. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them.
